ABSTRACT

The Evolution Vodafone (EVO) Business Transformation Programme, started in 2006, transforms value chain back office processes. EVO is introducing one Future State Operating Model (FSOM) that works across supply chain, human resources (HR) and finance functions to deliver a globally unified set of standardized business processes. Dubbed Evolution Vodafone, the Business Transformation Programme helps Vodafone to became a more competitive global player. The FSOM is designed to simplify business operations, thus freeing up time and talents to focus on increasing shareholder value. EVO was supported by SAP in a Value Partnership (VPS) between SAP and Vodafone. Accenture and IBM were selected as implementation partners. Created as an integral part of EVO, the Core Business Model (CBM) translates Vodafone's FSOM into a set of standardized global business processes, underpinned by a single-instance SAP system. CBM process standardization and simplification are the key EVO Programme drivers. In HR, teams are focused on delivering great employee experiences.
