ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as an intervention tool in organizations in order to promote employees’ health and wellness. Based on a number of different studies, the authors present how the literature has shown a significant impact of this approach on the psychological health of employees and on different organizational outcomes such as workloads, presenteeism and absenteeism. The authors expose a brief example of such an intervention and conclude with an agenda for future research and implications for practice.
