ABSTRACT

Increasingly, organizations are recognizing the importance of programs and projects as strategic assets. Fewer organizations work on single, isolated projects, and instead, many have embraced an emphasis on program and project management as critical to their overall strategic success. Over the past 20 years, many organizations, especially those in the Global Fortune 500, have placed a strong emphasis on ensuring that the key tools and techniques are in place to manage projects and, more recently, programs effectively.
