ABSTRACT
Using real-life examples and some tools for human factors in general and specific to sociotechnical systems, this chapter first presents a brief review of a framework for the field of sociotechnical systems (also called macroergonomics), followed by a discussion of future trends and what is on the horizon for the field. Our concluding remarks emphasize the value of leveraging from other domains.
