ABSTRACT
Ecumenical theology belongs to the twentieth century. It was created by the divisions, conflicts, and wars of the bloodiest century the world has ever experienced, and its response to social, political, ecclesial, and economic conflicts was the healing of differences and work for unity among peoples, churches, religions, and nations.
