ABSTRACT
The present volume aims to compare integration processes within different infrastructure sectors throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in Europe. The various contributions develop this comparison using examples of individual infrastructures and their integration. The respective specifications of these examples are identified and explained. Furthermore, similarities and differences are identified on both a general and a specific level.
