ABSTRACT
Introduction Across Australia, one-quarter of all family households were multigenerational households in 2011 (ABS 2012c; 2013a), where a multigenerational household is defined as one that is composed of at least two interrelated adult generations and at least one member of the youngest generation is 18 or older. In Sydney, one-third of all family households were multigenerational.
