Participating in Watershed Management: Policy and Practice in the Trahunco Watershed, Argentinean Patagonia

Urban expansion and increasing industrial activities encountering rural activities, coupled with the lack of access to basic services like drinking water and sanitation by most of the poor population call attention to existing water management schemes (2^nd World Water Forum 2000). This subject is debated over at innumerable international and regional gatherings where the best ways to approach these problems are discussed from the perspective of different interests and ideologies.
