ABSTRACT
Humans always tend to overdo things and we are doing this with technology in the studio today. You don’t need 199 tracks to record a three-piece band and that kind of thing never used to happen. It’s fascinating that the albums that are still going, that people still talk about, still collect, still love, were all done on 4-, 8- or maybe up to 24-tracks; certainly not 199 or anything like that. We don’t need it, we take it too far.
