ABSTRACT

The previous seven chapters in Part II attempted to seek insights into the application of participatory research methodologies in environments affected by armed conflicts. Each one of them represented a number of characteristics and merits through the ways that they enabled a deeper exploration of the three main groups of challenges faced by researchers: a respondent element, a researcher element and an effectiveness element as explained in Chapter 9. Therefore, it is important to remember those qualities before deriving the main conclusions for this section.
