ABSTRACT

This book explores relatively novel qualitative methodologies from the point of view of sharing experiences of doing research. It is not meant to teach specific research methods, not exactly at least; instead it is meant to show what happens when theory and method meet in the real world. This book is less about the how-to of qualitative research and more about how-to-learn-from qualitative research in action from researchers who have been asked to critically reflect on their research journeys. To nudge the issue somewhat, each chapter begins with a section entitled ‘Reflections on Praxis’ where the authors are asked to critically reflect upon and write about the special challenges they faced conducting their particular form of qualitative research.
