ABSTRACT
During the post-socialist transition in the Czech Republic and in other East Central European countries, residential tenure underwent major changes that have influenced neighbourly relations. However, these changes have not been uniform, nor have they been characterized by a single process. Individual residents have been affected by the changes differently, as have various types of residents (for example, members of the Czech majority, in contrast to the Roma population).
