ABSTRACT

How many ways are there to engage with archival research and how have digital and other new media changed the way we do it? How important are the questions we bring into the archive and what are their possibilities and limitations? How do we deal with eruptions and unexpected encounters in an archive? What does it mean ‘to feel’ narratives in the archive and what is the role of spatio-temporal rhythms? How can we understand the researcher and the archive as an entanglement rather than as separate and independent entities?
