ABSTRACT
In their introduction to the 2013 volume of Yearbook of English Studies: Early English Drama , the editors state:
all the contributors to the present volume are united in their desire to communicate that it is neither accurate nor adequate to understand medieval English drama as consisting of four cycles of mystery plays – and some fragments affirming the dominance of the genre.
