ABSTRACT
Our clothed body is constantly and inevitably being read and interpreted by those around us, who subsequently reach a conclusion about our gendered, and sometimes sexual, identity. I have frequently found myself in situations where the conclusions reached by other people about my gender, and my sexuality, do not align with my identity claims or the experience I have of my embodiment. Furthermore, when I have undertaken online or electronic gender and sexuality tests for fun I repeatedly confuse and confound the programs, obtaining a variety of error messages along the way.
