ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this chapter is to critically analyse the 2003 CAP reform from the perspective of the strategic objectives of the EU as defined by the Lisbon (and Gothenburg) Agenda. The attention is on the capacity of the CAP to generate economy-wide structural effects and stimulate regional growth.
