ABSTRACT
The process of elaborating the research and innovation strategy for smart specialisation (RIS3) in Andalusia has shown that it is possible to approach strategic regional planning in a different way. In particular, the setting-up of the entrepreneurial discovery process (EDP) during the elaboration of the RIS3 Andalusia has offered Andalusian companies the opportunity to reach consensus on a common vision for the future of the region and created commitment to the priorities for action. These priorities are projected to spark entrepreneurship and regional growth in Andalusia.
