ABSTRACT
This chapter presents four recommendations to consider when selecting and reporting on statistical analyses. These recommendations are related to research in the field of the learning sciences and illustrated by means of some selected exemplifying articles. We more particularly propose to consider (1) potentially relevant, confounding, or moderating variables, (2) the hierarchical grouping of participants or measurements, (3) growth or progress, and (4) the use of everyday language and clarifying figures when reporting research results. The chapter concludes with suggestions for further reading.
