ABSTRACT

This chapter presents an effective model for designing and building effective smart classrooms. It introduces the concepts related to e-learning and blended learning. The chapter presents an integrated model for an efficient e-learning environment that considers several successful factors related to educational systems and society. It depicts an implementation framework based on the integrated model. The chapter describes the features of the smart classroom in the context of the smart school. It presents a smart classroom model in that context. The chapter provides a new quality assurance model in the Technology Enhances Learning (TEL) environment and smart classroom environment. It presents a new instructional competency level that enables instructors to be an efficient factor in TEL smart classroom environments. The core idea of smart classrooms/schools is revolutionizing the educational system through a holistic approach to TEL, with an emphasis on the students and where education and knowledge are rights granted to anyone, anytime and anywhere.
