ABSTRACT

Since the film Standing Tall (Stern, 2004; www.fanlight.com and www.filmandvideobasedtherapy.com) was released in 2004, the field of drama therapy has attracted many people of color and individuals from more diverse backgrounds and cultures than that of the White-centric drama therapy community that previously existed. The future of the field of drama therapy depends on documenting and sharing our work by using film and video as an educational, therapeutic, research, and advocacy tool for social impact, change, and healing to occur in working with trauma.
