ABSTRACT

Finally, a number of factors surrounding the communication of research are recurrent throughout the literature. Many focus on paths through which research might be disseminated (e.g. Knott & Wildavsky, 1980). Others consider the effectiveness of communication (Best & Holmes, 2010; Cherney & Head, 2011), especially in terms of how research is translated (Nutley et al., 2007), and whether it is presented in a way that is clear and concise enough for policy-makers to understand, grasp or use easily (Herk, 2010; Sebba, 2013).
