ABSTRACT

Timothy Kuhn Over the past decade or so, theorizing associated with the broad body of thought

that has come to be called CCO (the communicative constitution of organization) has been garnering increasing attention from organization studies scholars. Although its earliest articulations derive from the communication studies field in North America, CCO thinking is now very much an intercontinental and interdisciplinary enterprise. It is also a diverse body of thought and, as the chapters in this part of the volume show, that diversity holds the potential to generate innovative insights on organizing practice. In this commentary, I describe how Sandhu, Geiger and Schröder, and Koch advance CCO thinking, and how they present issues that should be on the agenda for the future development of CCO thinking.
