ABSTRACT

The perspectives of the coachee emerge from three aspects: the description of the coaching programme they were involved in and the perceived effectiveness of it; their experiences with the coaching practices evaluated by several criteria; and the coaching context. The willingness to continue the coaching programme and to recommend it to peers also emerges as a criteria to evaluate the programme with 97% willing to participate again and above 98% of coachees saying they would recommend the coaching programme. This demonstrates a certain degree of success within the existing coaching programmes in the Asia Pacific region. For coachees within the Asia Pacific region the benchmarks set by coachees can be influenced when certain factors are repeatedly raised during the coaching experience. These include the level of confidence the coachee has, the professional and personal development they receive and the increase in productivity-related work performance.
