ABSTRACT

David W. Jardine is professor of education in the faculty of education at the University of Calgary. He is the author of Speaking with a Boneless Tongue (1992), To Dwell with a Boundless Heart (1998), and Under the Tough Old Stars (2000) as well as being the coauthor (with Patricia Clifford and Sharon Friesen) of the book Back to the Basics of Teaching and Learning: Thinking the World Together. His main work is with student teachers in elementary education and in the area of hermeneutic inquiry. He lives with his family in Bragg Creek, a small community in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, west of Calgary, Alberta.
