ABSTRACT

Work is central to people everywhere. The work experience for most people determines not only the material level at which an individual and his or her family will live—whether they will barely subsist or live in the lap of luxury—but it also shapes a person’s life experience and worldview. Studies show that the kind of work that people do affects how long they live, where they live, their political views, their relationships with their children, their health, and so many other aspects of life.
