ABSTRACT
Science and technology have made significant advances in the conceptualization and construction of mechanical robots that are socially adept. Robots can be masterfully designed in ways that lead people to socially interact with them and infuse them with social feelings. Human-robot interaction and more generally social robotics have been the fields that have contributed significantly to these advancements in the cultivation of robotic technology and to its wider application and acceptance (Sugiyama & Vincent, 2013; Wright, 2012; Young et al., 2011).
