ABSTRACT

In recent years, globalization has led to free movement of capital and widespread privatization all over the world. This set ground for public administration reforms designed according to these two main determinants. It can be indicated that the same determinants affected the institution of public administration reforms in Turkey and also that the efforts made during the European Union process have stimulated these reforms. The public administration reform was included and played a significant role in the agenda of the Justice and Development Party, which came into political power in 2002. In this field, efficient progress was made until today. Starting from the 2000s, public administration reforms carried out by various countries in different time periods became a current issue in Turkey.
