ABSTRACT
A central concern in ESD is for children to learn to recognise the ecological interdependency of the natural world; to learn about the interdependency that humanity has with the rest of the natural world that we live in, and about the interdependency that we have with each other. In terms of child development and learning, our understanding of interdependency begins with our learning about ourselves and about others.
