ABSTRACT

The Anatomy of capitalist society began as notes for lectures given at the faculty of economics in Kyoto Imperial University during the academic year April 1927 to March 1928. Although author's last lectures, published here, are almost entirely a paraphrase of Marx's theory, it was not originally so. The lectures previous to this one, and also those he delivered two years ago, have all been printed and sold without his permission. It is thus evident that his lectures systematically approach and conclude with comment upon Marx's theory. The Development of capitalist economics is a somewhat revised version of author's Historical development of capitalist economics, published in August 1824. The historical mission of revolutionising the social form has already shifted from the bourgeoisie to the proletariat. In a class society, public benefit must necessarily be realised through the realisation of private benefit.
