ABSTRACT
Billie Holiday, widely known for her powerful influence on jazz and pop singing, battled a severe drug addiction most of her adult life. Yet, despite being aware of the potential consequences of this addiction, Holiday continued using drugs until the end of her life. Ultimately, her addiction to drugs killed her.
