ABSTRACT
Two questions might occur to the reader who has come this far: What overall conclusions may we draw about the success of federal environmental regulation in the United States through the beginning of the 1990s? What, if anything, can we say about the possible future direction of environmental policy in this country in the years to come? The remaining pages of this book are devoted to these two questions.
