ABSTRACT

Technology in early childhood classrooms? It is no longer a question but a statement of current practice. Yet research and comments from early childhood educators indicate a lack of understanding regarding appropriate ways to manage and integrate technology in the classroom. In the digital age, early childhood educators can be media mentors for young children, caregivers, and families, but they need adequate knowledge, skills, and experience with technology and digital media to utilize technology appropriately in classrooms and in mentoring others.
