ABSTRACT

There are several reasons why we wanted to do an interview with Gert Biesta. We are ourselves very much inspired by his way of theorising the differences between socialisation and subjectification. It has become an important input into our way of thinking about political subjectivity. However, on reading his texts in relation to feminist and intersectional perspectives, several questions emerged. We thus wanted to know more about how Biesta thought on subjectivity in connection to power, identity, agency and his conception of plurality in relation to democracy.
