ABSTRACT
I should like to highlight some of the problems that we face in England, and initially it is necessary for me to set the scene of the water supplies in the United Kingdom. However, may I say at the outset that there appears to be only one major difference between the problems of the United States and ours, and that is waterway size and its resultant effect on residual concentrations.
