ABSTRACT

This paper is concerned with the relation of environmental standards and the management of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) emissions, viewed from two distinct perspectives. The first, covered in section 15.2, provides a set of practical guidelines for managing CFCs by showing how different social valuations of CFC concentrations may be matched with environmental and production standards. Viewed differently, that section contains criteria for determining the optimal production responses to a given set of CFC standards.
