ABSTRACT

Land economics research is usually problem-oriented, as other essays have pointed out. 1 Since the purpose of such research is to assist in solving problems, the mechanism whereby research results are carried into action deserves the careful consideration of both the researcher and the administrator. Failure to bring such research results into the decision-making and action processes means that society does not get full value for the funds it has invested in research, and that the research worker fails to get full public recognition for his work.
