ABSTRACT

At this moment we are in the midst of an era that will eventually be known as a technological revolution. Just as the Industrial Revolution changed the world in countless ways, the galloping technological developments of recent decades are transforming the ways in which we live: from how we go shopping and elect presidents to how we make money, receive medical attention, pay bills, socialize, communicate in our private and public lives, listen to music, and, yes, acquire an education. These are exciting times, as they say; there is no turning back from our “techno-revolution,” and no end in sight to the possibilities for change that may occur.
