ABSTRACT
The most defining feature of global security situation today is an attempt on the part of major military and economic powers to manage their severely conflicting strategic interests through a framework of dialogue and coexistence and not war despite threatening statements and assertive military movements. This is true of three most powerful states, namely, US–Russia and US–China.
