ABSTRACT

China and India are late-comers in the process of industrialisation and urbanisation. In a world in which industrialism has already shaped a civilizational view, China and India will undoubtedly compete for finite natural resources to accomplish their process of industrialisation and urbanisation and become rivals for regional and global leadership or dominance. If the civilizational views are transformed from industrialism into ecologicalism, however, the two Asian giants will be able to lead the world into stability and sustainability.
