ABSTRACT
In the opening decades of the twenty-first century, the themes of players’ rights and the equality of opportunity to participate increasingly pervade discussions about the role and socially transformative nature of elite sport. In this volume, we consider Australian Rules football, football (Association Football or soccer) and cricket, in order to provide a transnational perspective on policy responses to, sports management strategies of and investigations into the origins of racism in sport.
