ABSTRACT

Delta is one of the world's leaders in the beverage industry. After having been with Delta for ten years, candidates are now responsible for all of the firms' operations in Asia, including the major markets of China, India, Korea, and Japan. Along with the rest of Delta's regional leadership team, they live in the Boston area and travel extensively to the subsidiaries that they lead. Delta's country managers are hands-on leaders who effectively direct all areas of the subsidiary's operations, including supply chain, logistics, inventory, quality control, government, and customer service. Country managers need to operate with cultural agility, having a deep understanding of the company's culture, values, and standards of quality, safety, and ethics. At the same time, country managers need to, at times, adapt to the client demands and unique challenges inherent in each of their local markets.
