ABSTRACT

This case is about the ongoing commitment of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) ongoing commitment to managing diversity and building a culture of inclusion. RBC is an example of a company that strives for more than increasing the numbers of minority group members – to creating an environment of inclusion, in which every member has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. This case shares some of RBC’s strategies for achieving inclusion. It would be difficult to cover adequately in this short case RBC’s efforts with respect to all designated groups. Thus, this case focuses on Aboriginal peoples and newcomers to Canada.
