ABSTRACT
This chapter considers how you can develop original schemes of work drawing on recent academic research into the National Curriculum for History prescribed topic, Changes in Britain from the stone age to the Iron Age and on theories of teaching and learning. The text concludes with seven Creative Activities for Teaching (CRAFTs) about Prehistoric Britain that you can use or adapt, based on key questions, principles and your teacher orientation.
