ABSTRACT
In a symposium on "ethical and moral issues in human communication" we might expect to find a very broad survey—loosely organized, ambitious in scope, full of scintillating bons mots and a pattern of ideas very difficult to structure simply or evaluate confidently. These first impressions are all borne out for me.
