ABSTRACT
Pornographic films that reference fairy tales are a fairly large group of “porn parody” films, a well-established subgenre. While fairy tales and pornography seem to be radically different forms of storytelling, both negotiate in a variety of ways with the concept of utopia and are intimately concerned with desire and the fulfilling of desire. It is therefore unsurprising that quite a large number of hardcore pornographic films have borrowed the plots and imagery of fairy tales. This chapter examines pornographic films that utilize the fairy tales “Beauty and the Beast” and “Hansel and Gretel.”
