ABSTRACT
Wohlwend encourages us to recognize children as early adopters who navigate new reading practices in digital formats on various touchscreen devices. She describes how touchscreen technologies demonstrate ways even toddlers learn in multimodal, interactive, and flexible orientations. We agree that technology is an appropriate part of young children’s early literacy development.
