ABSTRACT

This chapter serves two key functions. First, it provides a discursive account of the works provided by each individual contributor, drawing out the connections and commonalities between the various methods outlined in each of the foregoing chapters. Second, it outlines a number of practical issues which will need to be considered by researchers when adopting a mixed methods approach. In doing so, it reflects on which methods are most obviously compatible and might therefore be used to supplement or corroborate findings, and considers how any tensions or conflicting data might be dealt with.
