ABSTRACT
The position of a concert lighting designer or director differs from that of their theatrical or television counterpart. One of the main differences lies with their responsibilities. The concert lighting designer is often the only design artist associated with the production; only larger concerts can afford to have a separate scenic artist or video designer, so the lighting designer is usually consulted for all such visual concepts.
