From a cost and construction report5 dating from September 1942, it is known that the Deutsche Lufthansa AG functioned as the building contractor, planning a camp thatwould consist of three accommodation huts, measuring 12.5m £ 52.5m each, as well as a somewhat smaller Wirtschaftsbaracke (utility hut), measuring 12.5m £ 41.25m. The camp was originally intended to house 300 people, occupying a total area of approximately 2400 m2.
