ABSTRACT
Narratives obscure it. The political economy precludes it. This theater is not supposed to be here. In the attic of a public field house, neighborhood youth stage viscerally stunning ethnographic theater based on interviews with residents of Albany Park, a largely Latino/a Chicago neighborhood where over forty languages are spoken. This is Home/Land, a show which twice extended its sold-out run into April 2012.
